Pad Thai
As an ordinary street food from Thailand, pad thai is no fancy. But at the same time, I feel that I can never get tired of eating it, probably also because it’s just simple and delicious.
The pad thai I tried for the first time in my whole life is from there. I was an exchange student at UC Berkeley during the 2016 Fall, and the restaurant is just across the street from the campus and my apartment. Back then, I almost had this same pad thai every day just because it’s so delicious. They always use a generous amount of sweet chili sauce and put a generous amount of crushed peanuts on the top. It’s sweet and spicy, to the right extent.
I was always looking for a rival of this pad thai after I left Berkeley. I had no luck in Shanghai and San Diego. To this date, this pad thai is still the best.
The name of the restaurant is Imm Thai Street Food. It’s in Berkeley, the United States.
Their duck noodle soup is also very delicious. I highly recommend it as well. The soup is full of umami, with the roasted duck soaked in. It was so comforting to have this in a cold November day.
